Scheduling and Broadcasting
Weekend Beats is a high-impact ‘warm up’ show for a Friday evening, complementing your audience’s typically energetic, upbeat and positive mood at these times. Stations need to schedule the show to start between 18:00 and 23:00 on Fridays.
Once you’re signed up to receive Weekend Beats, we’ll give you access to our Dropbox download links. We release new episodes of Weekend Beats to registered stations every Thursday afternoon at 16:00 UK time, so there’s plenty of opportunity for you to get the show loaded into your playout systems.
We deliver the show as 320kbps MP3 files, in two ways:
- A single full-show file (approx. 56-57mins duration)
- Three separate parts/files (variable duration every week but each part is approx. 19mins).
We deliver the show in three separate parts so you can insert your own content elements in between each part, e.g. station IDs, imaging, news updates, commercials, promos, etc. This allows you to round up the show’s runtime to 60mins if required.
Note for UK stations, the show is Ofcom-compliant – there’s no bad language or contentious content in the show.
Weekend Beats does not stream its shows online nor make these available on an on-demand / ‘catch-up’ basis, but we can provide show demos upon request.
Terms of Use
Last updated 14 January 2025
We provide Weekend Beats as-is without warranty and cannot support your radio station to load or troubleshoot the files we provide. Download links provided are for linear broadcast use only, it is not permitted to host these files as part of an on-demand or ‘catch-up’ service (contravention of this will result in your access to download links being terminated). We provide Weekend Beats to your station without any form of music or performance license/s so your radio station MUST HAVE (and is solely responsible for holding) the relevant license/s in place. In the United Kingdom the licensing bodies are typically PPL and PRS For Music, but this may vary depending on your radio station’s circumstances. PPL and PRS For Music do not cover licensing outside of the UK; licensing bodies will vary in other countries/jurisdictions. We are unable to advise further on licensing arrangements. By using Weekend Beats content, you are accepting these terms of use.
